MORE OIL = MORE GLOBAL WARMING

After sweating through the hottest July on record and with wildfires and drought crippling the western states, the last thing we need is more global warming pollution. But in Congress’s first week back in session, big oil is already pushing to lift the ban on crude oil exports in order to expand drilling in the U.S.

We need your help to stop Congress from giving into big oil's bad idea.

Lifting the ban would increase U.S. oil production by up to 3.3 million barrels per day between 2015 and 2030. Senator Elizabeth Warren states that lifting the export ban would increase worldwide carbon emissions by almost 22 million metric tons per year. This is the equivalent of the global warming pollution from 5 average US coal plants!

After a summer like this, the last thing we need is more global warming pollution. Help us stop big oil’s bad idea and tell Congress that more drilling means more pollution and to stop crude oil exports.
