Put Solar On It: 10 percent solar by 2030Solar Jobs on the rise

We've just begun to tap the potential to power the nation with virtually unlimited and pollution-free energy from the sun. With the cost of solar energy declining, we must take advantage of solar energy to meet our energy needs while reducing pollution that harms our health and contributes to global warming.

That's why we are asking our leaders to commit to getting, at least 10% of our power from the sun by 2030.

Join us in asking the president to move America in the direction of a solar future by setting a baseline goal of at least 10 percent by 2030.

Subject: Let's Go Solar
Solar energy can provide pollution-free, virtually limitless power. Yet right now, just a small fraction of our power comes from the sun. I encourage you to move America in the direction of a solar future by setting a baseline goal of at least 10 percent by 2030.

The cost of solar energy is declining. The environmental and economic costs of polluting fossil fuels are on the rise. We can build on recent progress on solar energy. If solar grows by 20% each year, we can reach that goal. And, it could even grow faster.

I urge you to set strong national goals for solar and to keep working with local and state officials to meet or exceed a goal of 10% solar by 2030 in the U.S.
