Take action on the International Day of Forests
March 21 is the International Day of Forests! Join Environment America Research & Policy Center for a day of action in support of our best natural climate solution: forests.
Each year, 1 million acres of the North American boreal forest are clear cut, releasing 26 million metric tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere annually. Much of the boreal's trees are turned into toilet paper and other tissue products to be sold in the U.S.
On March 21, we're gathering people from all across the country to join our day of action to protect our forests.
Join supporters in signing our petition, taking a pledge to purchase forest friendly products, posting on social media and writing letters to the editor. With enough voices, we'll convince P&G to stop sourcing wood pulp from the devastation of clear cuts in the North American boreal forest.
